So the midpoint of this horrid but enlightening experience, and now it took a turn for the worst. after a couple of weeks I noticed a downward trend in my daily health such as a series of headaches every other day. Although I wanted to continue my streak of no meat but it became too much. When I went to go eat some really good tacos, I felt a lot of relief to finally have meat. I intend to get back on track but while going through the withdrawal stage of being vegetarian I am not very optimistic that I can get back on track.
I have read an article about how America uses it's land.

The most astonishing data point in this visual is the fact that we use 654m acres for pasture/range. Which means that we are using most of our land to produce meat for our country as well use up tons of other resources in the process.

So if this project were to end today, I think I may not continue it but I think that I will definitely cut back on the amount of beef that I eat as it is the worst kind of meat in terms of environmental impact. Based on the visual below, we are constantly wasting resources on the production of beef when we could be using those exact same resources to feed the hungry people of our world.

Of course when I start to change into this habit I knew it was going to be difficult but I just didn't know how much. Based on the article that I read on habit change, it turns out that it can take anywhere from 18 days to 254 days for a habit to take place of an old habit.
I think that my biggest issue with this habit change was that I did not allow myself to make mistakes and I was overly critical if I ate meat. But thinking back now, I should've allowed myself a cheat day here and there. It would have became tremendously easier to adapt to this new habit.
